South Devon House and Cliff Deck Stabilisation
Project Description:
Following storms and unprecedented rain in February 2013 and a significant coastal cliff slippage, structureHaus were appointed to undertake the full design and planning to reinstate and enhance the lost terraced garden. Working closely with RedRock Geoscience the geotechnical consultant, a robust engineering solution was adopted to stabilise the slope and create an elegant and enhanced terraced and cantilevered solution to reinstate lost land. This was also conceived harmoniously with an architectural solution giving a journey through the garden, giving different spaces to enjoy the spectacular sea views.
