FOUNDER/DIRECTOR
David is the founder of structureHaus. He began his career in the South East with Deakin Callard + Partners and Cameron Taylor Bedford in London, before moving to the West Country where he became a Director at Paul Carpenter Associates. In 2014, David founded structureHaus, which has since grown to include offices in London, Exeter, and Stuttgart.
With over thirty years’ experience as a Structural Engineer, David has delivered an extensive range of multi-million-pound commercial, residential, public sector, and retail projects across the UK. He is passionate about the relationship between engineering, design, and the natural environment, and how thoughtful structural solutions can create positive, lasting impact on both the built and natural worlds.
A father to three adult children, David splits his time between London and Germany.

MARK HARRIS

DIRECTOR
Mark is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Structural Engineers and brings over two decades of experience across private, public, retail, residential, and commercial sectors. His background as Group Director of Structural and Civil Engineering within a multidisciplinary
design environment has equipped him with a strong understanding of BIM and the benefits of early collaboration throughout the RIBA Stages.
He is passionate about achieving economy in design - financially and sustainably - while ensuring architectural vision remains at the forefront. Mark’s approach is focused on delivering efficient, elegant structural solutions that balance practicality and creativity.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys being outdoors - whether surfing, cycling, or running - and values time spent with his family.
