DAVID PHILLIPS

FOUNDER/DIRECTOR

David is the founder and Managing Director of structureHaus. Having started his career in the South East with Deakin Callard + Partners and Cameron Taylor Bedford in London he then moved to the West Country becoming a Director at Paul Carpenter Associates. structureHaus was founded in 2014 and now has offices in London, Exeter and Stuttgart.

David has over thirty years’ experience as a Structural Engineer in a broad variety of multi-million pound commercial, residential, public sector and retail projects throughout the UK and beyond. He has a deep-seated interest in the natural environment and how good engineering and design can be improved to bring beneficial change to the natural and built environments.

A father to three adult children, David splits his time between Devon, London and Germany.

ROY GALLIE

DIRECTOR

Roy Gallie has vast experience as a Consultant Structural Engineer and is able to bring to bear his knowledge to achieve efficient and practical designs on any project.

Roy started his career in 1971 with Irving and Hale in Liverpool before moving to the South-East, where he has subsequently worked on large commercial projects including data centres as well as refurbishment, retail and residential schemes. Roy’s previous role was the Managing Director of Goodson Associates (South) before merging with structureHaus.

LUCY ASHBY

ASSOCIATE

Having graduated from the University of Wales, Cardiff and achieving a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering Design & Management, Lucy became Chartered in 2010 and has worked for Atkins, Parsons Brinkerhoff, Clarkebond and Paul Carpenter Associates.

Lucy is now an Associate with structureHaus and undertakes a key role in service delivery and client liaison.

ASSOCIATE

Initially supporting senior engineers, Jack has now developed into a Project Engineer wholly responsible for the completion of structural designs. Jack also now assists the junior members of the team with their own development.

With 12 years of work history, she has diverse knowledge, experience and skills, including a detailed knowledge of Design, Quality Management Systems and Project Management, gained in the course of managing residential and commercial projects within bot the Public and Private sectors.

CONSULTANT STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Silvia is a Senior Member of the Portuguese Institution of Civil Engineers and a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).

With 12 years of work history, she has diverse knowledge, experience and skills, including a detailed knowledge of Design, Quality Management Systems and Project Management, gained in the course of managing residential and commercial projects within bot the Public and Private sectors.

CONSULTANT INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER

Willi joined structureHaus in September 2014. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. Willi has over 13 years’ professional post-qualification experience in large scale highways scheme to small scale domestic drainage projects.

Ian is an experienced Chartered Surveyor and Arbitrator and has spent much of his career in the insurance and loss adjusting sector. His strong engineering bias and knowledge strengthens the team. Ian carries out much of the surveying and contract administration work the company undertakes.

JOHN PARHAM

CONSULTANT CAD TECHNICIAN

John has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, including Arup, Whitby Bird and Price and Myers, on projects ranging from the first high rise building on Docklands Cascades, to the redevelopment of Liverpool Street Station on site with Bovis. He has also worked on Portcullis House, The Royal Opera House and was an integral part of a small team which delivered the New Grandstand at Lords. His assignments have been far ranging, including the MTR railway system in Bangkok for Faber Maunsell (now AECOM) to the Straw Bale House which was on Channel 4's Grand Designs.

John brings experience and discipline to our drawing production.

VIKKI RUSSELL

OFFICE MANAGER

Vikki is the Office Manager at structureHaus and also PA to David Phillips. She has over 25 years’ experience across the Private and Public sectors including Construction, FMCG, Accounting, Manufacturing and Meteorological. Recent roles before joining the structureHaus team were as Executive Assistant to two Board Directors at the Met Office in Exeter and PA to the Chairman at MWW, a global produce supplier based in Birmingham.

Vikki has an IAM in Business Administration, Intermediate grading in Jeet Kune Do and when not managing the busy Exeter office enjoys hill walking and Kundalini yoga.

Kerry joined structureHaus in October 2016. In her current role Kerry provides administrative support to the directors and structural engineers, and also has responsibility for credit control.
Prior to joining structureHaus Kerry held a number of senior finance positions including Company Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Controller, and Finance Manager.
She has over 20 years experience in providing professional services across a broad range of finance areas including compliance, business process, business advisory and consultancy.

KERRY CHAPPE

CREDIT CONTROLLER and PA

Kerry joined structureHaus in October 2016. In her current role Kerry provides administrative support to the directors and structural engineers, and also has responsibility for credit control.
Prior to joining structureHaus Kerry held a number of senior finance positions including Company Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Controller, and Finance Manager.
She has over 20 years experience in providing professional services across a broad range of finance areas including compliance, business process, business advisory and consultancy.

Daniela has extensive experience in administration across various roles, including Office Manager for a German marketing company and Personal Assistant at a fashion business. Her main background is the Hospitality sector, having worked as Front of House Manager in London where she ran two departments.

Daniela is from Prague, but life brought her to Devon and when she is not working, she travels with her family or indulges her love of gardening.
